Stichting Vrienden Maasstad Ziekenhuis helpt projecten te realiseren waardoor de patiënt zich beter voelt tijdens een behandeling en/of het verblijf binnen het Maasstad Ziekenhuis. Daarnaast stimuleert zij wetenschappelijk of innovatief onderzoek gericht op het genezen van ziektes of het leven met een ziekte draaglijker te maken. De vriendenstichting is geheel afhankelijk van donaties. Ze heeft een ANBI en een CBF keurmerk.
